Lunar New Year Party Rentals Norfolk MA: What We Deliver and What You Supply

Answer: Lunar New Year 2027 lands on Saturday, February 6, which gives Norfolk families and community groups a clean weekend before the February 15-19 school break. Our side of a Norfolk Lunar New Year party is the hardware: tables, chairs, covers, a custom-color balloon arch, a photo booth, treat machines and kid games. Your side is the room, the food, the machine supplies and the traditions. To check the date, ring (508) 203-5946.

The Hong Kong Observatory's 2027 conversion table opens the Year of the Goat (some calendars say Sheep or Ram) on February 6, with New Year's Eve on Friday, February 5. Timeanddate lists the holiday on February 5 in Vietnam and February 7 in South Korea, so families from different traditions may want different days of the same weekend.

The festival season closes with the Lantern Festival on Saturday, February 20, 2027, the day after Norfolk's mid-winter break ends. That gives a second open Saturday for a bigger community event.

What arrives on our truck

Seating comes first. Our 6' White Folding Table is $10, the White Folding Chair is $2.50, and the 6' Folding Table COVER is $5. The covers are black, which makes red dishes and gold accents pop.

Color is the second job. The Balloon Arch ($500) and Balloon Column ($300) are custom builds in the colors you choose. Farmers' Almanac lists red as the lucky color of the season, so many hosts ask for red with gold.

Guests leave with a keepsake when you add the Photo Booth ($750). It comes with 180 prints, and the template takes a short line of your own, so "Year of the Goat 2027" can run along the bottom.

Sweets and games round it out: a Cotton Candy Machine or Popcorn Machine ($75 each), plus Jumbo Tetris, Jumbo Guess Who or Jumbo Yahtzee at $40. For little cousins, the Petite White Bounce House ($100) is built for indoor parties and small spaces.

What stays on your side of the list

  • The menu. Dumplings, noodles, oranges and sweets come from your kitchen or caterer.
  • Machine supplies. The cotton candy and popcorn pages say supplies are sold separately, so ask about them when you book.
  • Traditions and decor: red envelopes, paper lanterns, couplets for the door and any music.
  • Power. The cotton candy page asks for an accessible outlet; plan one per machine and keep cords out of walkways.
  • The room itself, plus whatever paperwork the venue wants.

Picking a Norfolk room

Home. Most family gatherings stay at home. Measure the ceiling before you add the bounce house, since the Petite White stands 10 ft tall. A basement playroom rarely works; a high-ceiling great room or a garage might.

The library Community Room. Norfolk Public Library lists the room at a capacity of 125 with a 30-minute to 4-hour booking window. Its December 2025 meeting room policy says programs must be open to the public, and social gatherings such as birthday parties or family reunions are not allowed. A neighborhood association or culture club hosting a free, open celebration is the better fit. Light refreshments are allowed, the kitchenette has a sink and refrigerator, and library staff do not move furniture.

A school cafeteria or gym. Norfolk Public Schools rents the Freeman-Kennedy and H. Olive Day cafeterias, gyms and auditoriums under Policy KF. Individuals renting for personal reasons fall in the non-revenue outside group, listed at $50 an hour for the room plus $50 an hour for labor. Weekends are non-core hours, and the policy adds 30 minutes of custodial time before and after each event. Note one rule that shapes the whole layout: no food is allowed in the gym.

Town Hall or a church hall. Norfolk Recreation books the Town Hall Multipurpose Room at 1 Liberty Lane, but it posts no private-party terms, so call (508) 520-1315 to ask. The Federated Church of Norfolk at 1 Union Street takes requests through a facility use form on its website.

The booking clock for February 6

The library accepts requests more than three business days ahead but no more than three months out, so its window for February 6 opens in early November. School rentals run first come, first served, and the School Use Release form must reach the Business Office within 48 hours of confirmation to hold the space.

Schools also bill for every hour booked and do not let groups in before the rental starts. Book enough time on both ends for our delivery and pickup. If the venue asks for an insurance certificate, tell us when you reserve. AJT can provide additional insured certificates.

Daylight matters for loading out. Hebcal gives Norfolk a 5:06 PM sunset on February 6, 2027. If snow threatens, you make the weather call by 8 AM on party day; our weather and cancellation policy has the rest.

Reserve for Lunar New Year weekend

Norfolk orders leave from our Foxborough location at 67 Neponset Ave. Once the room is set, our contact page takes your venue and rental window, or dial (508) 203-5946 if you would rather talk it over. Families next door book the same way in Wrentham, Franklin and Walpole.

Safety first with any inflatable: read our safety page and keep an adult beside the bounce house whenever kids are inside.
